We really enjoyed our stay at this B&B when we visited Mt. Hood to go snowshoeing. The owners were accommodating for our schedules and the home is rustic chic with many personal touches. The couple talked to us and made feel right at home, we are looking forward to coming back for the cidar festival in the fall! Highly recommend staying here to everyone for a relaxing get away in the winter.

My husband and I were married at the Mt Hood B&B this summer and it was stunning. The ceremony includes the backdrop of Mt Hood, the grounds are gorgeous, and Mike and Jackie are incredibly accommodating. Everything we asked for was taken care of and throughout the ceremony Mike went above and beyond to make sure all materials were in place, that our smores fire pit was tended to, and that the sparkler send-off was a hit. One of my favorite parts of the night was that after the wedding ended, Mike brought Wes and I a leftover bottle of champagne and our flutes so that we could relax and chat under the stars while our guests left. We even had a very nice (and hearty!) breakfast with them the morning after the wedding. I would recommend this venue to anyone. Thank you Mike and Jackie!

Mike and Jackie are wonderful, the location was absolutely beautiful for our wedding and I have not stopped receiving compliments from our guests about our wedding, the location and ambiance of the whole thing. They were such a help with everything from giving me ideas on how to set up and then making my ideas come to life . They did an amazing job setting up and decorating the day of our wedding. They are two very kind people who were great to work with (and I have to add, they also had a big hand in getting me rescued off a mountain earlier this year) ..... So I have nothing but wonderful things to say about these two and this location.

My husband and I got married here in September. We visited five venues the previous year in search of an outdoor place that had a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Luckily, there are a number of places throughout the Gorge that fit this bill, but Mt. Hood BnB came with so much more. Driving from Hood River, you can see the mountain get bigger and bigger as you approach. Compared to every other venue, they had by far the best view. Jackie and Mike are incredibly welcoming and friendly. I appreciated that they treat their property like a blank canvas for each couple, being open to ideas for where to have the ceremony and how to arrange the reception area. I never felt like the BnB churned out cookie-cutter weddings. We were able to make everything our own. And when we weren't sure about something, they were experts and gave us great advice. We hired Betheny--the BnB's recommended planner--as our coordinator, and besides being very flexible about how we wanted to shape our schedule and all the reception arrangements, she was calm, easy to work with, organized, and made us feel like everything was a piece of cake and would turn out great. And it did! The BnB has a wealth of jars, decorations, signs, and furniture, all of which were available for us to use for our wedding. Jackie and Betheny have great taste, and when I got tired of working on the details of decorations, I gave them a rough idea of what I was looking for, and they did a beautiful job. They were definitely on the high-end, price-wise, of the venues we looked at--other venues let you hold a rehearsal, come early in the day to get ready, and provide the guest room as part of the package--but it was truly the perfect setting for what we wanted. All of their terms were spelled out in the contract, and we did not have any surprises. Mike made an incredible, hot, filling breakfast for us the next morning, and he and Betheny helped us gather our belongings and leftovers in the morning and load up the car. You can tell that everyone here loves being part of the weddings that they host, and they go to every effort to ensure that you have a happy, memorable day. Thanks for everything! We'll be back!

I urge all LGBT people and allies to stay far away from Mt. Hood B and B. Initial correspondence with Jackie was positive and normal, but upon finding out that she was talking to a gay person she immediately changed her tune and stopped returning communications. This was an embarrassing, demeaning, and enraging experience. If you care about equality, please DO NOT give any money to Mt. Hood B and B.

After getting engaged, I started searching for wedding venues online. I stumbled across Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast, and we decided to come take a look for ourselves. It was the first place and the last place we looked. It was still spring so the flowers were barely blooming, but we just fell in love the the charm and beauty of the property anyway. Mike and Jackie are the best. They are attentive, professional, approachable, and all around great people. They respond to emails quickly, and answered all my questions thoroughly. They added all these adorable details to the wedding, that just made all the difference to me. I have been receiving non-stop compliments about how gorgeous Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast is. Everything was in full bloom, and the colors were just unreal. I didn't think the day could get any better, but as the sun was setting, the universe chose to prove me wrong once again, and Mt. Hood was illuminated in the prettiest alpenglow I have ever seen... and I've seen my fair share of it. I thought this would be the icing on the cake, but after our send off, we "fake left" on the cutest vintage truck they have available, and Mike took us on a little joy ride to see the full moon. It was truly "romantical." Thank You so much Jackie and Mike for your hospitality, and everything you do. I hope you guys keep doing this for a very long time.

My husband and I have stayed at the Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast a few times over the last couple years. This year we were celebrating our 10 year Anniversary, and couldn't have picked a more relaxing place. We arrived in the early afternoon, greeted by Jackie, a very sweet woman devoted to her family. We enjoyed an afternoon of pumpkin patches and delicious apples, and had dinner at the SawTooth Roadhouse. We lounged around, watching movies and just really enjoyed getting away from every day life. Jackie made us a delicious breakfast and just spent time chatting with us, making her home feel even more comfortable. Spending even just a little time with her, you can see family is very important, and we really felt included! The bed and breakfast is so beautiful. The room we stayed in, (think log cabin) was comfortable, clean, and secluded. When we arrived, there was music playing and the heater was turned on, (much appreciated on such a cold day!) Upon leaving Jackie offered us even more apples, (much to our families delight.) We would definitely recommend for a couples getaway. This b&b is located in such a beautiful location, with many wonderful photo ops. Already looking forward to planning our next trip!

First, we didn't stay here.....but here is why we are going to...... My wife and I decided to drive back to Portland around Mt. Hood from Hood River. We saw the Mt Hood B&B and drove in because it looked nice. Jackie came out to meet us and we asked if we could look at their place. She was so nice! She showed us all the rooms, told us the history - how she built the beautiful garden - how a friend of her's put in another beautiful dahlias garden and where they grow their food they use to serve their guests. We talked about my wife's gluten free needs and our Vegan diet - she was great and said she worked with folks all the time on special food needs - just needed to know ahead of time. The rooms were tastefully decorated and very clean! (not the typical Laura Ashley floral explosion you see at a lot of B&Bs.) Lastly, she showed us their "barn" which was a large building (perfect for a wedding reception). Towards the back were a bunch of boxes filled with cherries. She said this was the first year they picked them and they weren't selling them yet. She filled up a box with cherries and gave them to us! Yes, a whole box - 2'x1'! Her husband came out and talked with us for a bit - I liked him - nice guy. My wife and I will be staying there on our next trip to Hood River - it's quiet, has a beautiful view of Mt Hood and the owners care because they care...not just to make a $.

Jackie and Mike are wonderful. They helped to make our elopement as easy AND romantic as I could have ever imagined. They went above and beyond what we asked for, adding special touches at every turn during our ceremony and "reception." I could not have asked for a better evening, nor a better place to enjoy it. The views are spectacular and the service even better. Thank you so much for making our special so memorable!

This was a fantastic place! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious! Rooms are new and very well kept. Their garden/yard area is top notch, they host weddings here as well. Great views and location, far enough away but close to Hood River and Government Camp.

We just got married at Mount Hood Bed & Breakfast. The setting is nothing short of spectacular. Photos don't do it justice - it has to be seen to be believed. The view of Mt. Hood just behind the ceremony archway is awe inspiring, and the impeccably cared for grounds are picture perfect. There is no better place for your outdoor wedding or just a place to relax and let life's worries drift away. Mike and Jackie are a joy to work with. They are professionals in every sense of the word, and want nothing more than to please their guests. They provided us with tables, chairs, centerpieces, and a wealth of knowledge regarding vendors. They make sure that the grounds look just as incredible at the end of the summer as at the beginning (we've visited numerous times). If you're reading this, do yourself a favor. Go there and see it for yourself. The gardens, meadows, horses, barns, swing set, cabin, and newly renovated rooms speak for themselves.

Mike and Jackie have such an incredibly beautiful property overlooking Mt Hood. They have put such time and investment into making it one of the most pristine wedding venues one can imagine. They were both a joy to work with and incredibly professional. We could immediately tell why they are one of the oldest and most esteemed venues in the area. Mike and Jackie were welcoming to all of our guests and vendors. When it started raining as the dancing began, they were quick to help transport items into the barn so that we could continue celebrating into the evening. We highly recommend Mt Hood B&B as a wedding venue and place to stay! The owners are incredible people who run a fantastic business.

Ahh, weddings, the time where two people share their love (and their bank accounts) with their closest friends and family members. I ended up here a few weeks ago for the wedding of two of my closest friends. They had both moved up to Alaska about a year ago and decided to hold their wedding down here since most of their friends (such as myself) can't really afford to fly to Alaska. Because they don't have an infinite supply of money and they can't take time off away from their busy jobs to go on a reconnaissance mission and pick their wedding location, they decided to pick a place sight unseen. Their only requirement was that it had to have a decent view of Mt. Hood, as that was the location of the proposal. Mt. Hood B&B didn't just fit this requirement, it was like Thomas Gainsborough came back from the dead and painted this place Honestly, I have no effing clue how any other wedding destination could surpass the beauty of Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast. Its sheer beauty was perfect in every sense. I could only imagine that it cost a pretty penny, but on a beautiful August day like this one, it was absolutely flawless. I didn't have to deal with the owners, so I can't really comment on the service. I just remember that they were fairly accommodating and friendly, other than their bizarre liquor rules. The bride and groom had custom wine labels made and they wouldn't allow the attendees to take the leftover bottles home! What gives?! So yes, if you love the beauty of Mt. Hood and are assuming that your wedding attendees will drink the bar dry, this is the place to get married.

Mt Hood Bed and Breakfast is the place to go for a romantic night or nights away. My hubby and I did our first overnight away from our two year old and couldn't have picked a more perfect place. We watched the alpenglow on. Mt. Hood from a bench surrounding a small pond and walked around the farm enjoying the stars, then cozied up in our super comfy queen bed and enjoyed the quiet while we snuggled. Then, major bonus points here, Jackie made me a gluten free German pancake that was amazing....truly amazing, with strawberries and syrup and eggs. The property is a slice of heaven and Jackie is so sweet and lovely. I felt like I was a home, getting up early and walking downstairs to ask for honey with my tea and ended up chatting with her in my pajamas while she made breakfast. And it's just a few miles from great hiking and snowshoeing. We snowshoed up to cloud cap in the am, but there are miles and miles of trails. We will be back!

First i would like to thank mike & jackie for being such great hosts. You guys are very nice and welcoming you really made me and my boyfriend feel at home. The property is so beautiful and romantic with a wonderful view of the mountain. I love the little pond and bridge in the front and if you arrive during the night the arch in the drive way up is lit and looks so romantic! The rooms are so cute, very modern with a rustic twist, beautiful pieces like a barn sliding bathroom door and wall mounted door knob coat racks. Sleeping was easy with the great sheets and comfortable bed & pillows. You have a mounted TV with cable, dvd player, wifi (wifi signal is a little weak but worked fine for me) everything you need. There is a mini fridge and microwave downstairs in the breakfast area.(which is also very cute) I can go on and on about this place but my favorite has to be the amazing breakfast. The coffee is great all kinds of tea fresh fruit and pastries. We had french toast hashbrowns with bacon along with some coffee cake. The second day we had a hash with the most amazing puff pancake (not sure what its called) but it was sooo good. They really pull out all the stops. There is so much more the the place it is a must visit for sure!
